Suzanne W. Peebles is a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, and the creator of Columbia Northeast Counseling Services, LLC. She attended the University of South Carolina, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education, and a Master of Educational Counseling. Ms. Peebles began her career working with the University of South Carolina, United States Department of Labor, and Richland County School Districts in a joint program created to locate and help homeless and lower income youth to receive training and education for employability skills. She then went on to work at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice as a District Supervisor of Counseling Services for incarcerated youth before assisting with the opening of one of the first alternative school programs in South Carolina. In 1998, with over twenty years of experience, Suzanne opened private practice in the Northeast Columbia area, the area she grew up in and calls home.

Suzanne is passionate about establishing and maintaining a therapeutic, safe environment that is conducive to building a strong alliance between therapist and client. Over the years, she has been blessed by the opportunity and privilege to see personal growth in clients from many different backgrounds experiencing a variety of issues and challenges. Through her work, Suzanne has come to believe that any person can achieve the changes or relief from distress they want, if the conditions are there for their courageous self-disclosure to be released. In her free time, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, her shih-tzu, gardening, travelling, and volunteering within the Columbia area.
